Sage X3 2021 R4 Highlights

Finance

Tracking deleted payments
An enhancement has been made so you can now track certain information for deleted payments per legislation, such as date and user, which is saved in a stored table. This is beneficial for audit purposes in specific countries where it is mandatory to declare deleted payments.

Tax return inquiry improvements
For a simplified experience, you can now view the list of declaration numbers that fall within the search criteria by selecting the VAT declaration number feature and selecting to see the detail.

VAT Framework – Adjustment posting
To save you time, you can now generate the journal entry associated with a VAT return. The VAT return action now manages the posting of adjustments that can be manually entered in the VAT return, and this feature then allows the generation of journal entries by automatically offsetting the total VAT amount calculated for each company through the VAT return extraction, into the ‘Tax Disburse’ or ‘Tax Credit’ accounts.

VAT Framework – Tax reporting date
To increase flexibility, accuracy and compliance, a new VAT date field has been added to the Journal entry function. This means that you can update the VAT date field any time before the journal entry has been used for actual declaration.

Distribution

  • On the ADC Stock count transaction, you can now perform counts for products managed by global serial number
  • You can now benefit from a simplified navigation menu
  • Product descriptions have been added
  • Purchase order inquiries have been enhanced

These functionalities are compatible with new mobile Android handheld technology. This delivers increased user experience and secured connectivity when using new handheld technology for cloud customers.

Manufacturing

Work Orders
Enhancements have been made to facilitate the import of work orders without assigning a production routing.

Web Scheduling
New sedApta Version 11.9.7 is now available.

Project Management

Activity templates
To simplify project time entries and activity tracking, the Time entry and Weekly timesheet functions have been enhanced to include a new Activity template action. Employees can use this new action to define their personal activities.

Time billing
Giving you more flexibility, time billing has been introduced for those companies working in a project management context who need to bill a project according to time spent. This new process uses employees’ time entries defined as billable and tracked at the project level, budget level, or task level for scheduled invoices to determine the amount to bill customers.
For invoicing purposes, it would be important to note that billable time spanning the billing periods is aggregated, adjusted, and validated for the project, budget, and tasks during the life of the project.

Project billing – Scheduled invoices updates
For ease of use, you can now raise scheduled invoices directly from the project management function. This means that for scheduled invoices linked to a project milestone, the dates of the scheduled invoices can now be edited from the Task planning screen, the Cost structure screen and the Task status change screen via the Change status action in the Project management function
