Business and financial software reseller and solutions provider Lorge has been awarded a contract by Infrastructure Finance Corporation Limited for the implementation of a financial software solution at its head office in Woodmead, Johannesburg.
The solution will be based upon ACCPAC for Windows Advantage Series 5.2 corporate edition software, including modules for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cashbook and Electronic Funds Transfer, as well as ACCtivity Integration Manager.
Infrastructure Finance Corporation, trading as INCA, has a BEE shareholding of 46% of which 43.96% is held by Kagiso Financial Services Limited. INCA is the only privately owned infrastructure debt fund in SA and was established in 1996 in response to government`s call for assistance in funding the infrastructure backlog in SA. Since then, it has issued more than R4 billion in AA rated bonds and raised R2 billion in long-term international loans for infrastructure investment.
Lorge sales manager Neels du Plooy says the new solution for INCA will demonstrate ACCPAC`s ability to easily integrate with “best of breed” products in the marketplace. A feature of the Lorge solution will be the use of an integration module developed locally by ACCtivity, Lorge`s development division.
“Integration Manager will ensure seamless integration between ACCPAC and INCA`s sophisticated, specialised operational system, `Quantum`. Data from the operational system will be accurately and timeously conveyed into the financial system.”
Du Plooy adds that the integrated, “best of breed” solution offers a number of benefits to INCA management, including rapid availability of and access to strategic management information, overall accuracy and time saving. The system will be installed and commissioned by the end of February 2005.
