Lorge wins R1.2m contract to implement ACCPAC software at Metropolitan Health

Lorge Press Office
[Johannesburg, 5 November 2002] Cape-based Metropolitan Health Group has placed a R1.2 million order with Lorge Consulting, Softline`s accounting software solutions provider and ACCPAC reseller, to implement and integrate a suite of financial software products.

Metropolitan Health, the healthcare business of JSE-listed life assurance and financial services group New Africa Capital, is replacing a financial software system with a 50-user Lorge solution at its Cape Town headquarters. The software will also be accessible to the Cape Town and Johannesburg regional offices on a wide area network.

“We believe our approach to technology differentiates our services,” says Metropolitan Health Group financial manager Steven Williams. “We are committed to offering world-class services in a paperless environment using customised e-tools that allow our customers and associates to do most of their business with us easily and quickly via the Internet. The Lorge solution is fully in line with this commitment.”

Alexander Lamprecht, executive committee member of Lorge Consulting, says an important component of the software solution is an integration module developed locally by ACCtivity Software, Lorge`s development company. Known as Integration Manager, the module allows data to be securely integrated into the various components of the ACCPAC suite of accounting software modules from other proprietary software.
